Staff Development is more than just training your library staff.

It encompasses such things as: recruitment, retention, morale, mentoring, coaching, but also training.

What are other library systems and counties doing to keep and develop staff?

I started with the Volusia Library System on April 15th, 1996 -- I made a lot of copies of tax forms that day! I worked in the Circulation and Reference sections before becoming the Assistant Regional Librarian at the DeLand Regional Library a few years later. I became the Regional Librarian at the Daytona Beach Regional Library at Daytona Beach in 2007, and the Collection Development & Acquisitions Manager for the library system in 2013.
