It all starts with your employee handbook. This is where employees learn the company's rules, about the benefits they receive and what the company values. Most, if not all employers should have employee handbooks. Handbooks, however, are under attack by various government agencies, most notably the National Labor Relations Board.
David Ritter, of Barnes & Thornburg, will discuss why you should have an employee handbook, what should be in it and the challenges employers face from government agencies when drafting a handbook.
