Predicting the Future of SCOTUS
Sunday, August 7, 2016
3 - 4:30 PM
With a constitutional crisis brewing and the Supreme Court at loggerheads, the interactive Town Hall style series “Conversations On the Green” concludes its fourth season on August 7 with a penetrating discussion of the court, its post-election tribulations and their likely impact on the country.
The discussion will be led by two of the most noted and erudite court watchers:
LINDA GREENHOUSE
the legendary reporter and columnist for The New York Times,
&
PAUL CAPPUCCIO
chief legal officer for Time Warner and one of only a handful of people in recent history to have clerked for two justices.
As Time Warner’s chief legal officer, Paul Cappuccio oversees the worldwide management of the multi-national’s legal affairs. A Harvard Law school graduate, Cappuccio previously was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at America Online and, before that, a partner specializing in telecommunications law, appellate litigation and negotiation with government agencies in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis. He also served as Associate Deputy Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice and as a law clerk at the Supreme Court for Justice Antonin Scalia and later for Justice Anthony M. Kennedy.
Moderated by Jane Whitney
Former NBC News correspondent and talk show host. Audience members will be encouraged to participate in the interactive town-hall style format.
