"Byways are destinations with unique tourism destination opportunities"

NATIONAL SCENIC BYWAY FOUNDATION

Byway Resource Protection:
Leveraging Your Dollars

As funding opportunities become more competitive, granting entities expect more matching dollars. Leveraging available funds becomes more crucial.

We’ll discuss ways to leverage limited funding to protect important resources along your Byway. Through the use of case studies, we will highlight successful projects and demonstrate how.

Join us on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. Eastern/12 noon Central/11 a.m. Mountain/10 a.m. Pacific as we hear from Sally Pearce, Colorado State Byway Coordinator Emeritus; Charlotte Bumgarner, Gold Belt Byway Leader and Resource Protection Grant Coordinator; and Amber Shanklin, Pikes Peak Region Conservation Director for the Palmer Land Trust.

A session recording will be available for those who register, including anyone who can't attend the live event.

Keep up with the latest scenic byways/heritage highways knowledge and trends through our 2017 educational webinar series; quality online learning brought to you by the National Scenic Byway Foundation and their official training partner, Tourism Currents.

With over 40 years of experience behind the presenters, they will share:

  • Background of the Colorado State Byway’s resource protection policy and planning;
  • Funding source options;
  • How partnering with land trusts works;
  • Accomplishments of the Colorado Scenic Byway Conservation Coalition and how it was formed;
  • How local land trusts have used byway funding and resources as leverage for larger investments needed for true conservation efforts.

No travel required - all events are online via GoToWebinar.
