Course Description:
Explores how business concepts and planning techniques can be used to make your program flourish. Learn how to critically analyze your program’s strengths and weaknesses, designate resources to make the greatest impact, and develop budgeting tools. Walk away with a set of tangible tools to manage your program more strategically. This course is for OST Directors that oversee every day operations and programming.
Course Objectives:
1. Demonstrate understanding of the impact of business planning on program and child outcomes
2. Evaluate alignment o business plan to daily program practices
3. Examine case studies and determine best practices 4. Craft a useful goal to improve use of business tools in your program
4. Describe the alignment of business planning to QRIS Core Competencies
5. Demonstrate understanding of various business concepts and their relation to the OST field.
