2017 CDT Study Classes 

Are you interested in furthering your professional education and providing better services to your clients? Then get CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) certified in the spring of 2017 with the support of Portland’s CSI Chapter. We offer classes with experienced instructors to help you understand the material needed to pass the exam.

CSI professional credentials are evidence of proven knowledge, education, and experience with construction documents. Holding a certification demonstrates professional commitment, credibility and reliability to employers, colleagues, and clients.

This seven-class series is useful for anyone in the A/E/C industry who is interested in understanding the process, roles/responsibilities, and project delivery from cradle to grave. This class is also beneficial as an additional resource to the textbook for preparing for the CDT exam. Through CSI’s Certification Program, you can develop a conceptual understanding of the entire construction process and concrete skills in:

• Construction documentation development and administration
• Specification writing and enforcement
• Product research and sourcing
• Communication with the design and contracting teams

The CDT exam (Construction Documents Technologist) is the foundation course for all construction individuals. Studying for the exam will help you learn about contractual relationships, Use of construction documents, and the construction process as a whole. Advanced exams are available for a more in-depth review of Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA); Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) and Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR).

Cost:
The cost of the class does not include the exam registration or the Practice Guide. CDT candidates are encouraged to obtain a copy and read the AIA-A201 General Conditions, the CDT Study Guide and Addendum from the CSI-Institute webpage, located under the “Certification/CDT/Exam Prep” tabs, and become familiar with the CDT exam requirements.

Exams:
Register direction with CSI for CDT, CCS, CCCA and CCPR exams, which will be offered during CSI National Exam Month (March 31 - April 26) at 400+ Thompson Prometric locations nationwide.
