Tool School- Log Cabin and Pineapple Blocks

Log cabin blocks, in all of their varieties, are a kind of quilting building block.  While they appear rather basic on first examination, it doesn't take long to see that the standard log cabin block is really just a starting point for so much more. We'll discuss different kinds of log cabin blocks, as well as variations in technique and tools available on the market.  We'll also cover the log cabin block's cousin, the pineapple block.  Both use a similar process, but they are not exactly the same.  And, sometimes, they are not quite as easy as they look. 

We'll have time for show and tell, so bring a something or two that you've been working on.  Extra points if it's related to log cabin or pineapple blocks, and we'll have a door prize drawing.  (Limit 3 show and tell items.)  I'll also set up my shop for the evening, and your prepaid cover charge will give you a $5 credit towards your purchase, in addition to the usual 15% discount that I offer during guild presentations and to studio members.
