2015 Water Treatment Workshop

Alderwood Water & Wastewater District Headquarters

The Water Treatment Workshop will include presentations and demonstrations.    Topics covered in the morning presentations include:

  • Revised Total Coliform Rule Update
  • Data Integrity Workshop
  • Filter Optimization
  • Startup Experience, Tacoma's Green River WTP
  • Disinfection Data Integrity Project
  • Fluoride Program Overview

 This workshop features speakers:

  • Bob James - WSDOH
  • Nancy Feagin - WSDOH
  • Jolyn Leslie - WSDOH
  • Gray Fox - Tacoma Water
  • Gary Graves - City of Everett
  • Stephen Baker - WSDOH

EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS!  - 0.6 CEUs (Water CEUs approved)

Cost is $70 per attendee for individual or utility members of AWWA or WEF  - $80 after Tuesday October 6th

$90 per attendee for non-members of AWWA or WEF - $100 after Tuesday October 6th

Fee includes lunch and refreshments

Small System Operators and Student Scholarships - To encourage participation from small utilities (less than 500 connections) and from college, university and technical program students, the Northwest Washington Subsection will pay workshop registration fees for 2 operators from small utilities and any student.  To be eligible for a small systems scholarship please register and pay for the workshop and on the registration form indicate the number of connections for your utility.  If your registration is one of the first two received, your registration fee will be refunded following completion of the workshop.  First Come - First Served.  

To be eligible for a student scholarship please list your institution, click "pay by check" and phone or email the contact in the upper left column for further information.

Cancellation Policy - If a registrant is unable to attend the event and a substitute within the organization can attend, please contact Jeff Lundt at jeff.lundt@kingcounty.gov to update information.  If unable to attend or send a substitute contact the above at least one week before the event for a refund (minus a $10 processing fee).  Refunds after that time will not be given.

If the workshop is cancelled due to lack of registration or another reason, full refunds will be provided.
