VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COLLEGE CREDITS:
A new EPS Subsidized College Coursework application is a NEW requirement for Educators wishing to enroll/register for an EPS College course. We partner with Fisher College to offer coursework at a cost to the educator of $50.00. The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) has prioritized Degree Attainment for Educators in the Commonwealth. In support of the priority, the EPS grant subsidizes college course work that is intentional and supports
Our college offering will be posted on our website (www.cdedu.us/SEEPP). To ensure that all educators enrolling in one of the EPS courses meet the intent of the grant, all interested Educators MUST complete the application that will be linked to each flyer. Upon review of the application, Educators will be required speak with our Career Advisor, PRIOR to the application being submitted to the college offering the requested course. At the time of application, educators MUST pay the $50 fee for the course or the application will not be proceed. This fee will be reimbursed should SEEPP or the college not admit the Educator.
Priority will be given to educators that are currently working in one of the EPS Region 5 towns.

Course Description: This course presents a developmentally appropriate curriculum framework for the cognitive/language, physical, and social-emotional development of preschoolers. Curriculum areas include: dramatic play, science/discovery/math, reading and literacy, and art/sensory. The role of the Teacher in creating a safe physical and psychological learning environment will be studied.
Prerequisite/Co-requisite: ED103
Course Objectives:
1. Plan age and developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily routines for preschoolers
2. Assess the preschool environment and adequately provide a loving, safe and healthy atmosphere, which stimulates growth and development
3. Plan strategies for effectively communicating with parents and/or guardians
4. Create hands on materials and activities to be used as part of their internship portfolio
5. Competently integrate knowledge and application to address the needs of individual children
