Public Speaking Pointers: 2-Part Webinar (03/01/17 AND 03/02/17) 

IMPORTANT: This is a 2-part webinar that meets Wednesday, March 1 AND Thursday, March 2 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am, EDT. You must attend both sessions.

Public speaking strikes fear into the hearts of many – maybe it’s happened to you. You’ve been asked to speak in public about your organization and you have no clue where to begin.  Even if you could find a clue, you can’t imagine actually putting yourself into such an intimidating position!

In Part One of this two-part series, you’ll begin to learn the nuts and bolts of public speaking, including:

• Great beginnings and happy endings
• How to face your fears
• What you need to know to be effective when you speak

In Part Two, we’ll continue the discussion with more tips that will help you feel more comfortable the next time someone invites you to speak in public.  We’ll also learn how you can use your new skills to benefit your organization.  Topics in Part Two will include:

• How to organize what you’ll talk about
• 10 tips for successful public speaking
• How to put your newfound knowledge to work for your library

This workshop series will improve your comfort level with public speaking and will help you find the confidence you didn’t even know you had J.  Don’t miss this opportunity to grow!

Virtual Trainer: Linda Bruno

Linda has been developing and conducting training workshops for libraries and other organizations for more than fifteen years. She offers workshops on topics   ranging from Leadership Skills to Emotional Intelligence – and lots of areas in between!

Linda received her MBA from the University of Florida and has years of experience in hands-on management positions. She develops her workshops based on solid research and – more importantly – real-life application. Linda is also certified with DDI and Achieve Global.
