Educator of the Year Celebration 

The Education Committee of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for the 2015 Educator of the Year Celebration -- a benefit for the Golden Oaks Scholarship Fund.

Our Oak Cliff educators never receive the recognition they deserve and this is a great way to pay tribute to those who excel in their profession. As a reflection of our appreciation for their service to the community, the Chamber would like to honor the sacrifice of the educators by awarding five (5) educators in Oak Cliff as Educators of the Year.

Congratulations to this year's six (6) wonderful educators:

• College: Dr. Sue Kavli (Dallas Baptist University)
• High School: Rametria Smith (Sunset High School)
• Middle School: Tonikka "Toni" Dickerson (KIPP TRUTH Academy Middle School)
• Elementary: Carmalie Sims (George Washington Carver Creative Arts Learning Center)
• Pre-K / Early Childhood: Barbara McGinley (Rosemont Primary School) and Nancy De la Pena (Faith Family Early Childhood Center)

Each winner of the 2015 Educator of the Year Award will receive a $250 prize and a certificate recognizing their accomplishments. Additionally, each recipient will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the celebration breakfast on March 25.

We accept nominations for administrators, teachers, coaches, aides, or other staff members who have served to enrich the lives of Oak Cliff students.
