Brain Building in Progress

The Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River is offering  four PLCs that center around the topics of STEM, Brain Building in Progress, Kindergarten Readiness, and Literacy.  You will take away from these workshops a “Passport to Kindergarten” that you can recreate within your own centers or use as a tool to support continuity of education at home.

(This is a product of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’s Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge grant initiative, which is managed by the Department of Early Education and Care in partnership with Boston Children’s Museum.)

Brain Building in Progress

This Professional Learning Community (PLC)  will focus on creating experiences within the classroom that build a child’s understanding of self-control and perspective taking.  Educators will learn about activities that engage children in utilizing communication skills, critical thinking, and making connections.
