Please save the date and accept this invitation to join Fulton County Health and Wellness, Division of Health Promotion, Interfaith Coalition of Fulton summit entitled " The Ripple Effect: Integrating Faith, Science & Policy to Promote Health ".

The summit will take place on:

 Date:        April 28, 2014 

 Time:      10:00 am to 4:00 pm 

 Venue:   The Hindu Temple of Atlanta, 5851 Georgia 85, Riverdale, GA 30274

Purpose:                                                                                                                                                                                The proposed  summit continues to launch a focus on the chronic disease issues in Fulton County. This dialogue between academic, governmental, and interfaith community stakeholders will attempt to define opportunities to address the health issues and identify policies and practices that can effectively decrease the impact of chronic diseases in our community.

The Interfaith Coalition of Fulton summit will increase awareness of health among faith communities and provide a collective interfaith voice for effective and long term policy, systems and environmental (PSE) changes throughout Fulton County. The highlights of the summit will be health literacy workshop, chronic disease prevention presentation and intercultural experience . 

 What's in it for you:

After the Summit, it is anticipated that Interfaith Coalition will accomplish the following:

• Find common ground for reinforcing successful, collaborative interfaith community partnerships
• Examine community and interfaith partnership approaches and health promotion strategies
• Join as a member of the Interfaith Coalition of Fulton and become a part of the health movement

FeedForward:                                                                                                                                                                 Findings, presentations, workshops resulting from our interfaith summit will contribute directly to the enhancement and improve collaborations in the interfaith community. We are proud to be a part of this movement to promote awareness that will benefit our Fulton County faith community.
