Celebrating 60 Years of Steppin Up!

The NAACP Freedom Fund was created in 1953 to raise money and promote the fight for equality of all people. The movement was underway during a time of great racial violence and tragedy.

The DuPage County Branch's initial fight was to seek fair housing for all people who lived and worked within its boundaries. Since then, the Branch has addressed many civil liberties. Today the Branch is well known for its committment to our youth. The DuPage County Branch is very proud of its record of national ACT-SO winners, its College and Readiness Fair, its historic Sydney Finley Scholarship and most recently  its STEAM summer camp.

This year the DuPage County Branch is celebrating its 60th Freedom Fund Gala. We invite you to come dressed to impress as we continue 'Steppin Up' to the challenges the future holds.
