Happy New Year everyone!!

We hope that everyone had a restful holiday break and you are ready to get 2016 off to a great start!  Mother Nature hasn’t been too kind to the skiers so far, but we are finally seeing some cold temperatures for the snow making machines!  That means with two months to go before the 4^th annual Nor’easter Ski Day there should be plenty of snow on the ground at Killington!  Of course, this is New England, so you know there’s no way we can escape a winter without a few “Nor’easters” to boot, so start making plans to join us!

Four years ago the Northeastern and Vermont GCSAs opened up their friendly rivalry to all the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Associations for a day of fun, racing and camaraderie at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont.  Once again The Vermont and Northeastern GCSAs would like to cordially invite all of you and your guests to join in the great time and see if your association can take home The Nor’easter Cup!  Whether you ski or not, we’d love to see you there!

The Nor’easter Ski Day has been a huge success over the past few years and Killington has been great to our group, so we are continuing the tradition!  Killington Ski School has been impressed with the quality of racers that come from all over the Northeast and has moved our event over to the Highline trail where the Olympic racers train!!  Do not worry though, it is set up for skiers of all abilities, so organize your association and come join us on February 25^th, 2016!

Killington again has graciously agreed to honor the rates we have negotiated with them through the weekend until February 28^th for those that would like to bring their families or friends for a long weekend.  For ski pass prices, click on the link down below.

Killington has also worked with us to make available rooms at The Grand Summit Hotel and the newly renovated Killington Mountain Lodge (Formerly The Inn of the Six Mountains) as well as condominiums on the mountain, so please check the information page for links to lodging options and reserve fast!  Please note there are a limited number of rooms at each location so we encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible if you are interested.  There are also rooms reserved through that weekend, but the room block will drop on February 3^rd.  After that it will be on a “space available” request.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to please pre-register by February 18^th, 2016, so we can plan accordingly and the Wobbly Barn can order food for the après-ski event starting at 4 PM.  Refunds unfortunately will not be available after that date and there will also be a $20 surcharge if you register after that date. 

Please follow the link to the Vermont GCSA Website http://www.vtgcsa.com/ where links are posted on the left hand side of the page.  There is a link with “more information” and a link to “register.”  On the registration page you can register for the day and buy more ski passes if you would like to ski on any extra days after the Nor’easter Cup, so please explore the site!

Get together with the rest of your association members and see if you can field that championship team in 2016!!  Vermont is beatable!!
