Prevention Academy
The Healthy Together NC Prevention Academy, presented by Prevention Partners, and sponsored by the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, brings together local businesses, organizations and wellness leaders that are committed to establishing a strong wellness environment across North Carolina.
Prevention Academies are open to WorkHealthy America and Simple Steps participant organizations free of charge.
At the 2016 Prevention Academy, you can expect the following interactive discussions:
- Breakout sessions that will help your organization strengthen your healthy food environment, provide more physical activity opportunities, and promote comprehensive tobacco cessation resources to your employees.
- Addressing challenges and overcoming barries for successfull wellness initiatives.
- Engaging community organizations to adopt changes and improve overall enviornments.
- Information on how to utilize the Workhealthy America toolkit to be a catalyst for change.
- Socializing and networking with other community leaders.
- Recognition and reward for your wellness achievements in the past year.
A few details for registrants:
- Registration & networking begins at 9:30 AM (light breakfast included) and the training will end by 3:00 PM.
- Healthy lunch WILL be served.
- Dress is business professional, although we will have a physical active break!
