Resource Roundtable: Opportunities Close to Home

Join us for "Resource Roundtable: Opportunities Close to Home" on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Buffalo Thunder Resort from 1:00-5:00 pm. This is a resource fair sponsored by the Regional Development Corporation (RDC) in partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Community Programs Office and Small Business Program Office, and the Minority Business Development Agency Business Center.

Three topics will be covered:
• Finance
• Doing Business with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)
• Doing Business with the Government

Three speakers for each topic are scheduled, including representatives from LANL’s Small Business Program Office, the Minority Business Development Agency, NM Small Business Development Center, Los Alamos Connect and various financial institutions. The format will feature roundtable discussions of up to ten people each, ensuring your questions can be entertained with a more individual approach.

Native American Venture Acceleration Fund Award Ceremony:
This year’s event highlight is the Native American VAF award ceremony, representing the most recent round of grants. Los Alamos National Laboratory, LLC (LANS), the company that manages LANL, has dispersed $60,000 in awards to six winners this year: Cochiti Pueblo Development Corporation, NDN Energy (Jemez Pueblo), Three Eagles Development Corporation (Picuris Pueblo), Tano Services Corporation (Pojoaque Pueblo), Than Povi (San Ildefonso Pueblo) and Tesuque Flea Market. The ceremony will take place at approximately 3:30 pm.

Resource Roundtable Schedule:
