M&L July 23rd Housing Update and New Core Groups for Montgomery County and Washington DC

Join M&L Special Needs Planning, LLC for another Housing workshop. This workshop will
present new information regarding M&L’s efforts in the realm of housing for family members in Montgomery County and soon Washington DC. Virginia housing efforts are on hold for now.
There will be an update on how M&L Special Needs Planning, LLC is facilitating the first core group in Montgomery County using the Center for Independent Futures New Futures Initiative Community Living Options, and how we will integrate more families in Montgomery County to begin a second core group. In addition, there will be an update with information of the first core group for Washington DC which will be launched in September 2014.
Members of the first core group will be attending to describe the process and what we are accomplishing. Please come listen to this valuable information especially if you are interested in possibly joining us in a future core group.
M&L Special Needs Planning is evolving to better serve families who are looking down the road (1 to 5 years) to acquire housing with services/supports for their family members with disabilities. Learn more about what M&L is doing to work with families and how you will be able to benefit from the changes being implemented by M&L Special Needs Planning, LLC.
This workshop will provide information related to Washington DC and Maryland funding
options, service providers, and state attitudes towards various housing models. This
workshop will go in depth on these subjects and provide you with valuable information
that is not easily available.
In November 2013, M&L Special Needs, LLC launched the Independent Living Program Member Directory on its website. This workshop will share updates on this project as well.
