2014 NGAUS Convention -- Chicago 

The National Guard Association of New Hampshire cordially invites you to the 136th NGAUS General Conference & Exhibition, August 23-25, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois. This annual conference allows members to gather and vote on the top legislative priorities for NGAUS. There are ample opportunities to network with other National Guard members and hear from influential military and civilian leaders. Witness the power of having a unified voice in Washington DC as we face future battles over force structure, equipment, and readiness.

Company Grade / Warrant Officer Mixer: Aug. 22 - Dave & Buster's

Fun Run: Aug. 23 - Lake Shore Drive

Ribbon Cutting: Aug. 23 - McCormick Place

Business Sessions: Aug. 23 to 25 - McCormick Place

Governor's Reception: Aug. 23 - Field Museum

Task Force Meetings: Aug. 24 - McCormick Place

Hospitality Night: Aug. 24 - Magnificent Mile

States Dinner: Aug. 25 - McCormick Place

 REGISTRATION:

The registration fee covers the cost of the Governor’s Reception, State’s Dinner,

Spouse’s luncheon, TAG spouse’s luncheon, Company Grade Mixer, and Warrant Officer Mixer. Not covered in the registration fee are the golf tournament, 5K Fun Run, and the Retired/Separated luncheon. You must be registered NO LATER THAN JULY 1, 2014. Hotel rooms and conference rates will not be guaranteed after this date. Likewise, rates will not be guaranteed to date changes of previously made reservations and your room deposit may be forfeited if you cancel after this date.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

Accommodations this year for the NGANH will be at the Marriott Chicago Downtown, 540 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611 (312-836-0100). The room rate is $166 plus tax but we only reserved 15 rooms so please make your reserve as early as possible. The $100 hotel deposit you pay upon registration will be applied directly to your room. If you end up sharing a room with another member from the Association, we will credit $200 to your room. Cutoff for requesting additional rooms from NGAUS is July 1st so please don't wait.

TRANSPORTATION:

Once at your hotel, free conference buses will take you to and from all conference events. If you have your own vehicle hotel parking is $35 - $51 per night.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

We will be collecting a $35 fee to help offset our expenses at the NGANH delegate suite which is at the Marriott Chicago Downtown Hotel. 

 The NGANH will also host a New England hospitality venue on Hospitality Night at the "Howl at the Moon" piano bar on 26 West Hubbard St.
