Crowdfunding:
An Alternative to Traditional Bank Loans

The seminar is designed to give business owners and startups an understanding of crowdfunding, the collective effort of individuals who network and pool their money, usually online, to support businesses initiated by other people.

Raising Capital for your invention, product or idea in today’s world has become more transparent and creative. Traditional Bank Loans are increasingly hard to obtain. Sites like Kickstarter, Indiegogo and Fundable have turned crowdfunding into an instant customer and market traction indicator and has the preferred source of raising capital for startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

However, there are hundreds of Crowdfunding portals and the process comes in all styles such as reward, donation, debt, and equity. What are the differences and what is the secret to success in creating a successful campaign while ensuring your invention, product and idea is protected?

This presentation will teach you best practices, lessons learned, and the realities for creating a successful crowdfunding campaign.

In this session we will review:

  • the crowdfunding craze and why it has happened
  • legal challenges and requirements
  • examples of crowdfunding
  • where/how to get started
  • Is it right for you?
  • How to navigate through it

Seminar will be led by David D. Postolski, Attorney at Law

Fee: $35
