Please join us as we showcase CSCR student research and discuss your concerns about our watershed's diverse ecosystems.

Harbor Currents Study- Behold the Watersed's forces!

Dr. Vitalii Sheremet

Students will display key information about their research projects, much like a science fair.  You'll engage with the students in conversation and then enjoy a robust community dialogue that addresses your concerns about the harbor and its watershed.

The community dialogue will be initiated by a panel discussion led by local experts, professional scientists, town officials, and state representatives.  Discussion will focus on our ecosystem concerns and highlight where and how CSCR students can best leverage resources to meet town needs.

Please join us as we expect:

  • To give stakeholders a chance to educate the public about issues of importance in the watershed – from the upper reaches of the freshwater resources to the harbor and into Massachusetts Bay
  • To provide the public – a mix of students, parents, harbor stakeholders, educators, and interested citizens – a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and set priorities about the watershed
  • To activity BUILD "community resilience" – a process that holds potential for future grant funding for the town
  • To identify priority projects for CSCR
  • To assess how well CSCR is meeting community needs

This year’s “State of the Watershed Community Forum” marks what we hope will be an annual signature event for CSCR, as it is the essence of our mission.

On April 6 we will kick off our commitment to making this event a practice embedded in the community.
