Athlete Screening With Sports Medicine & Sports Cardiology Physicians
Come to Atlantic Sports Health for your Pre-Participation Evaluation as recommended by the NJSIAA and in accordance with the American Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). Athletes will be screened by Atlantic Sports Health physicians, some of whom are also part of the NY Jets Medical Staff!
This event is designed for athletes of all ages and abilities.

The cost is $50 paid by check or cash on the day of your physical. The following lists what you should expect during your visit.
The physical Includes:
- Comprehensive medical and orthopedic screening using NJ State approved Pre- Participation Evaluation (PPE) Form
- All physicals will be performed by board-certified physicians with expertise in sports medicine, who have completed the NJ Cardiac Assessment Professional Development Module
- Provide medical consultation for, and collaborate with other medical professionals as necessary regarding student athlete findings on day of physical
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up with specialist consultations for participating student athletes, if required
Athletes will also be screened by board-certified sports cardiologists.
This would include:
- Full history and cardiac physical exam
- On-site EKG (electrocardiogram) - if indicated
- On-site quick cardiac ECHO - if indicated
- Referral to a sports cardiologist (through insurance) - if needed
