August 2016 Chapter Program

"Create RFP's That Drive Value and Build Partnerships"

As an FM, has a service provider ever answered a question or proposed a solution that left you scratching your head in wonder? As a service provider, have you ever found yourself baffled by some of the questions posed on a Request For Proposal (RFP)?

In this frank and respectful panel discussion, representatives from both sides of the project table ask and answer those questions that often leave us wondering "What were they thinking?"  Gain tips to improve communication throughout the project selection and execution processes.

Learning objectives include:

  • Recognize the different prospectives facility managers and service providers bring to the project table
  • Analyze those actions each of us takes that confuse and frustrate each other
  • Discuss how to bring these differing points of view together for our mutual benefit
  • Translate our new clarity about key issues to lessons learned for communicating effectively on future projects

Panelists

  • Tom Meng, CPM, FMP
  • Joe Soter, FM, Aerospace Corporation
  • Tom Harkenrider, FM, Soka University
  • Bill Tucker, Owner, Seashore Construction
  • Jennifer Corbett Shramo, Owner, ICS
Moderator
  • Michael Morris, FM, AT&T
Following the presentation, a tour of CKE will be available.
