ACA Compliance:
What you need to know now for 2016 and beyond

All employers, especially those with 50 or more employees, are challenged to not only understand but to comply with the Affordable Care Act (the Act). With onerous reporting requirements,  various measurement methods and periods and  evolving guidance from the regulators,  owners, finance and human resource professionals should attend this complimentary Breakfast briefing to hear the latest guidance and to help determine what they've done or should be doing and what they're missing.

This latest Clark Insurance Breakfast Briefing will feature Bill Enck and Roger Prince, Senior Managers at BerryDunn, CPAs and Consultants.

What will you learn?

1.    Filing Requirements: Update on the ACA reporting requirements – Do you know if you need to file or not? If so, have you filed or are you ready to file?

2.    Measurement Methods: Monthly measurement method versus the look-back measurement method for determining full-time employee status. When should each method be used and what are the implications?

3.   Affordability Standard:  The dos and don’ts of opt-out benefits, cafeteria plan flex credits, and HRA benefits and how each impacts the “affordability” of employee premium payments

4.    Documentation Requirements: What documentation should you have to verify Applicable Large Employer status, determination of full-time employees and offers of coverage to your employees?

5.    Qualification: Controlled groups and affiliated service groups – What they are and how do they impact the ACA employer mandate provisions and reporting requirements
