Supervisors: Key Skills for a Key Role

I worked hard to earn my title of Supervisor - now what?

I was selected for the promotion because I have the best techincal skills on my team, yet I feel I need a different set of skills to excel as a Supervisor.

I'm not sure I want to become a Supervisor - what can I expect?

Whether you are preparing to become a supervisor for the first time, you have recently taken on a new supervisor role, or you've had little supervisory training - this workshop will help you build essential skills in the 3 C's of supervision:

  • Communication (What skills do you need to effectively communicate as a Supervisor?)
  • Coaching (What is your coaching style and how can you effectively coach employees?)
  • Compliance (Supervisors are responsible for ensuring employees comply with company policies as well as the law.  Understanding those compliance requirements is a first step.)

The workshop will also address the emotional/social aspects of transitioning into a supervisory role.

As a new Supervisor, your perspective must change to be successful.  In this workshop, we'll help you learn to motivate others to accomplish goals, see the big picture, and build trust with your team members.

After completing this workshop, you'll return to your workplace with the following:

  • An understanding of your personal coaching style, and how to adjust your style to best influence those you supervise
  • A personal assessment of your current skills as related to needed competencies of a supervisor
  • A personal action plan for your professional development to assist you on the path of becoming the best supervisor you can.

Cost: $150 per seat
