The Southwest Sports Wellness Foundation (SWSWF) was established in 2010 to fulfill a need in the underserved areas of San Diego community by performing high school sports screening assessments, offering free high school injury clinics, educating physicians, physical therapists and certified athletic trainers, and by providing scholarships for students with an interest in sports medicine healthcare. The foundation’s medical programs are overseen by Dr. Charles Camarata and a board of directors, who have been working with student athletes in San Diego County for over 45 years. SWSWF is non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation.

It has been an exciting year for SWSWF with the launch of our High School Sports Medicine Seminars in partnership with SDSU and the San Diego Gulls.
SWSWF's growth over the past year has been remarkable.
Combined with the announcement of the opening of a comprehensive Sports Medicine Injury Clinic & Wellness Center in the SUHSD, we now have more
than 1,100 students enrolled in Sports Medicine Medical Pathway
classes in ten local High Schools.
Your support along with the development of these partnerships and the
expansion of our programs allow SWSWF to continue offering vital
medical resources to the youth in your communities.
