Bündner Gerstensuppe = Barley soup. From the Canton of Grison in the North East of Switzerland comes this thick soup with barley, vegetables and smoked pork chops.
Minestrone = From the Canton of Ticino in the South comes this thick vegetable soup with pasta. A good option for vegetarians.
Siedfleisch Suppe = Lots of vegetables, potatos and rump beef. This stew is also known to the Swiss military service members as "Spatz". A hearty delight liked in all German speaking parts of Switzerland.
