Keynote Speakers 

Anne Marie Levis, MBA is the President and Creative Director of Funk/Levis and Associates, a full-service brand design agency and communications firm in Eugene, Oregon. As a crisis communications expert, she has helped develop and implement key messages for the cities of Eugene and Beaverton in times of intense public turmoil. Anne Marie also worked extensively with higher ed to assist with communications, marketing and public relations. Her firm has been working with Lane Community College since the 1990’s helping with communication, advertising, bond campaign work and public relations efforts. Anne Marie has also worked for Umpqua Community College assisting with their communications and media relations since the terrible event on their campus in October 2015.

Pam Akini, M.Ed. (& PhD-BA in process) is faculty in both the Business Administration and the Customized Training and Development Services departments at CCC.  Pam works with businesses and partners to provide individualized education, training, and consulting services. Pam has many Leadership and Instrument administration endorsements (DDI, Achieve Global, PREP, MBTI, and Emotional Intelligence) and maintains professional certifications for LEAN Training, executive coaching and Global Career Development facilitation.

Chabre Vickers, BA, serves as the Community Relations Manager for the Southeast Campus of Portland Community College and is leading the effort to engage the larger Southeast Portland community in the importance of Student Success. As a campus leader, she implements community and public relations strategies that advance the College’s goals with key external and internal constituents. Chabre chairs the City of Portland's Human Rights Commission; is a member of the Minority Evaluator Program for the City of Portland; and a Board member for many organizations including the OHSU Avel Gordly Center for Healing, the Portland Trail Blazers Make it Better Board of Professionals, and the Portland African American Leadership Forum. Most recently, she was elected to lead the Portland Council on Black American Affairs at PCC as the Vice President for Organizational Vitality & Programs.

Can I register now, even though I can't pay until the new Fiscal Year starts in July? 

• Yes! And please do register now, so we know you're coming! Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, fill out the online the registration form and indicate that you will pay by check (1 person per registration, using a unique email address). Then either pop a check in the mail in July, or email Heather.White@mhcc.edu to switch your payment method to a credit card. 

How do I register myself? 

• Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, and fill out the online the registration form (1 person per registration, using a unique email address)

How do I register someone else? 

• Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, and fill out the online the registration form using the unique email address of the attendee. 
• All emails will go to the email address used to register (which must be the attendee's unique email address); this includes a registration confirmation email and a payment receipt if you pay online by credit card.

Can I register a group of people together? 

• No, everyone must register individually online using their own unique email address.
• You must register only 1 attendee at a time through the online form, using their unique email address.
• If you are paying by check, you can write 1 check for multiple attendees, but be sure to indicate each attendee the check pays for - this is very important! See below for how to pay by check. 

How do I pay? 

• Click on the "Register Now" link at the top of this page, and the registration form will ask you whether you are paying by credit card or by check.
  • If you indicate credit card, it will prompt you to enter your card information via the WePay platform.
  • If you pay by check, make checks payable to AAWCC Oregon; please include a note of which attendee(s) the check pays for (this is very important!); mail both the check and the note of who it pays for, to:

Receipts and Confirmation Emails? 

• Upon registering, you will automatically receive a confirmation email. 
• If you pay by credit card, you will automatically receive a payment receipt by email. 
• If not, email Heather.White@mhcc.edu 
• If you are a college employee who needs receipts for people you paid for, email  Heather.White@mhcc.edu and she'll get them for you.

Refund Policy: 

• We will offer refunds for Early Bird registrations only, within 48 HOURS of the timestamp of the Early Bird registration. Otherwise, we do not offer refunds. We welcome you to substitute a different person for a paid registration, but make sure to let Heather.White@mhcc.edu know, so she can change the name on the registration and arrange for a nametag for the new attendee. Thanks!

• Our conference will be held at the Salishan, in Gleneden Beach, Oregon. This resort is located a short walk from the Pacific Ocean, and a 10 minute drive down Hwy 101 from Lincoln City, OR. 
• To make reservations, call the Salishan at 1-800-452-2300 (no online reservations at the special discounted rate)
• Indicate you are with the "AAWCC 2016 Summer Conference"in order to receive the discounted group rate (offer good until 7/1/16). 
• Discounted room rates (per night, plus taxes & fees): $125 Traditional Guestroom; $145 Deluxe Guestroom; $165 Premier Guestroom.
• Reservations for anywhere within 7/20/16 - 7/24/16 are elligible for these discounted rates, so stay an extra day or two, bring family and friends, and make a vacation out of it!

Will there be food? 

• Yes! We will feed you breakfast, lunch, and coffee/tea as part of your registration fee. 

Why am I getting emails asking me to register, even though I already registered?

• When Heather sends bulk registration emails, she sends them to the general AAWCC-OR membership list. So this includes absolutely everyone on that email list, regardless of whether or not they've already registered. As long as you got the auto-confirmation email confirming your registration, you can rest assured that your registration was processed. If you have any doubts, just email Heather.White@mhcc.edu and she'll be happy to look you up in the system.
