Health Policy Assembly V:
Challenges with Personalized Medicine

The 5th annual Assembly, hosted by the Cameron Institute, will provide a forum for experts and emerging leaders from across the country to discuss strategic issues facing the health care system in Canada.

On behalf of the Cameron Institute, I would like to invite you to the 5th annual Health Policy Assembly: Challenges with Personalized Medicine.

The 5th annual Health Policy Assembly will focus on the broad theme of challenges to personalized medicine. Understanding that personalized medicine means different things to different people, and that the whole field is a work in progress, the Assembly will zero in on four areas from policy and management perspectives: the challenges that personalized medicine will create for emerging leaders as they influence and shape an emerging healthcare system; discussion of two diseases, arthritis and cancer, and the tremendous opportunities for patients and challenges to current budgets, capacity and human resources; and, alternative funding models for personalized medicine.

As always, the mix of participants and format will ensure a most dynamic, challenging, and educational outcome for all.

We hope that you are able to join us for the 5th annual Health Policy Assembly in Banff this October.

Dr. D. Wayne Taylor.
