Whether you are starting a business or already own one, a solid business plan will increase the odds that your time and money will be well spent, and your business will be successful. At the end of this workshop, you will understand the importance of a business plan, what kind you need, and its major elements.
Your business plan provides you a method to take a look inward at yourself and your business. Starting with a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), you will be able to assess, analyze the direction of your business , and make changes before you are faced with critical threats to your success.
This workshop begins with a 30-minute introduction to the free business data bases that you can use to develop your business plan, led by a member of the St. Pete Library staff. This access to premium business databases for industry, market and demographic information may be critical to your business plan. The remainder of the workshop will focus on using this information to develop a robust and useful business plan.
