Schedule C - Not how to prepare Schedule C but issues that may arise from its entries, citing Revenue Rulings, Tax Court citations, and Regulations.

IRS Update - This session will focus on the tax law changes that affect the preparation of the 2014 Form 1040.  The requirement of minimum essential care (MEC), the individual shared responsibility payment and the new tax forms such as Forms 8962, 8965 and the 1095 series will be covered in detail.

Preparing Form 1040 With the Help of the Tax Court - A review of relevant IRC sections and Tax Court decisions to enable the right choices in 1040 preparation.

Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) - Overview of its contents and more detailed coverage of sections useful to Circular 230 practitioners.

Ethics - The session will look at the requirements for adequate disclosure under §6662, §6694 and §6501(e) (the six-year assessment statute).  Come prepared to participate in lively discussions of various relevant scenarios and questions.
