July 28th, 2015 Workshop
Integrated Living Opportunities (ILO)

Where Are We Now? Would you like to get Involved?

Please join M&L Special Needs Planning, LLC and some of the participating families on an update on  Integrated Living Opportunities (ILO). Communities are in the process of being created specifically in Germantown Maryland and Washington DC. Future communities will also be in Silver Spring and the Bethesda areas. Learn about the process of what it means to be a participating family and what ILO can do for the self-advocates and the families who are part of the nonprofit. The next training for families who would like to become involved will take place in February and June 2016.

Integrated Living Opportunities (ILO) is evolving to better serve families who are looking down the road (1 to 5 years) to create or be part of a community for their loved ones with developmental disabilities. Optional services of ILO is to help the self-advocates hire the necessary services/supports or chose a service provider, establish personal networks, and ultimately create a foundation that will outlast the parents.

In addition, this workshop will provide information related to Washington DC and Maryland funding options, service providers, and state attitudes towards various housing models. This workshop will go in depth on these subjects and why the mission and vision of Integrated Living Opportunities (ILO) is critical of the future of our loved one. ILO has the solution to move our loved ones out of the parent's house into the community with a full life.

There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee associated with this workshop. M&L Special Needs Planning reserves the right to cancel the presentation due to inadequate enrollment numbers. If M&L cancels, you will receive a refund. Please register for this workshop early. Space is limited.
