The Importance of the Business Plan

The business plan is a roadmap/baseline that forces you to do your homework. It helps you define what your business is as well as the goals… and how you will get there.  You will gain:

• An understanding that all business plans are not the same and can be tailored to the needs of a business.
• The importance of risk in any new business and how the business plan can help manage that risk.
• The business plan structure (body of plan, executive summary, attachments) and the information/analysis needed.
