Yoga Workshop: Chakras, Fascia, and Sound Healing; The Science and Experience.

Join us for an updated version of our workshop:

"Chakras and the Deep Front Fascial Line".

Experience the science lecture, more therapeutic movement, AND live chakra healing sounds from local percussionist, Robert Hamaker.

Robert Hamaker Crystal Bowls

Robert will bring his tuned crystal bowls and other healing percussion instruments to Mind-Body Movement Center in Alameda this October 15th. He will demonstrate and perform the various chakra-tuning frequencies with his bowls during our lecture, movement, and guided meditations.

Discover the ancient and modern connections between the structural and energetic lines that run in front of the spine. Course will include lecture, healing sound bath, live music, and healing movement. No yoga experience necessary. Tea and Chocolate provided, but please bring your own yoga mat and blanket.

Sliding Scale $20 - 150.

The Deep Front Fascial Line, as described by Thomas W. Myers (LMT, NCTMB, ARP), is a continuous line of fascia which runs from the big toe to the jaw and tongue. When its physical anatomy is studied, a beautiful container emerges to hold space for our energetic and spiritual centers, or Chakras.

This workshop explores the anatomy of the deep front line and chakras through lecture and movement experience. It connects our physical body with our subtle energetic and spiritual bodies. We learn to use asana, or physical postures, and breath awareness, as assessment and treatment of imbalances between our body and mind.

**Please note this event is NOT taking place in the Body Temple Studio - we are graciously sharing space at http://mindbodymovement.org

Audience: Anyone interested in physical anatomy or energy anatomy and self-healing and assessment techniques.

Please no scents or perfumes. Doors will open at 12:45 PM.

Robert Hamaker

Robert Hamaker received his degree in Percussion Performance in 1983 and has been a Bay Area  Musician for 40 years. He has worked most of his career teaching, and playing in orchestras, bands, and in shows all over the Bay Area. He is currently Principal Percussionist for Vallejo Symphony, Diablo Symphony, and the Golden Gate Park Band.
In 2011 Robert completed The Margaret M Center for Intuitive Arts Master of Metaphysics Course, and a subsequent course where he learned sound healing and other areas of healing. Since then he has composed and recorded healing music for 3 CDs  using percussion. He is currently working on a music project using Tuned Quartz Crystal Bowls. He also created a Facebook page called “The Colors of Sound,” after the title of his second album, and it is dedicated to concepts of healing with sound and color.
