12:00-1:00: Keynote Speaker and Lunch
This half day seminar will focus on: "What are the challenges of the evolving transporation and mobility landscape?" The seminar looks to explore the impact made by the public and private sectors, considering the issue from the state, regional and local perspectives. A lunch discussion will look at how all of this has coalesced in West Palm Beach.
The seminar will start with registration and breakfast in the Historic Dramaworks Theater in Downtown West Palm Beach. A series of forward thinking presentations will review how transporation is changing the face of our communities and how we develop. Speakers from throughout the region will look at how state and federal initiatives influence local transportation decisions, how grassroots efforts have had real impacts on how communities evolve, and how new private initiatives such as Uber, Sky Bike, and Car Sharing are disrupting our expectations of the future of transportation.
The seminar will then move to the beautiful downtown waterfront pavilion on Flagler Drive where we will enjoy a lunch catered by Field of Greens. There we will hear from the Downtown Development Authority Director discuss how all of the facets of transportation have helped the downtown continue to grow and evolve into a world-class urban environment.
