PROGRAM UPDATE:

PROGRAM:  "Medical Device Engineering at Work" - John Gorski, CEO of NAMSA

A brief history about medical devices, and engineering challenges that are routinely addressed in helping diagnose and treat a variety of disease states.  Mr. Gorski will discuss a few medical devices while explaining where we've been, where we are and where we are going and how engineering takes us there. 

Mr. Gorski has over 20 years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  He currently serves as President and CEO of NAMSA, a medical research organization specializing in consulting, laboratory testing and clinical research services for medical devices and regenerative medicine products.  Before being named President, Mr. Gorski was NAMSA's Vice President, Operations from 2005-2006, Operations Manager from 2002-2005, Director of Legal and Information Technology from 1995-2002, and Manager of Business Development and Administration from 1992-1995.   Prior to joining NAMSA, Mr. Gorski practiced law in San Diego, California, where he was a Deputy District Attorney for the San Diego County District Attorney's office.  Mr. Gorski also worked as a law clerk for the San Diego County Superior Court.  Mr. Gorski holds a law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego and a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University.

The new Thomas & Elizabeth Brady Engineering Innovation Center is located within the Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex (closest to Dorr St), just south of the Lois & Norman Nitschke Auditorium @ The University of Toledo-College of Engineering.  

For driving directions, use the address:  1610 N. Westwood Ave - Toledo, OH  43607.  

 Click here for map  When you get to campus, turn right on Westwood towards Dorr and the Commercialization Complex.  Go around the roundabout and park in the lot directly across from the Complex (AREA 20).  The Center is located BETWEEN Nitschke Hall and The Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex.
