3rd Annual Pacific Northwest Dual Language Institute

Dear Two-Way & Dual Language Program Educators,

We are very excited to be returning to work with you and your Dual Language and Two-Way colleagues next month and hope that you are able to join us in Portland, Oregon for the 3rd Annual Pacific Northwest Dual Language Institute.  We have a great team of presenters scheduled to bring you great inservices in the areas of the Common Core writing in Spanish, grouping strategies for oral language production, Academic English Language Development and CCSS Mateméticas. 

Joining us this year are four Two-Way and Dual Language experts and my long time colleagues from different regions of California and Oregon:  

Dr. Ana Hernandez - Using the CCSS to Create a Powerful Spanish Writing Program (K-2) & (3rd-8th Grades)  *Session to be conducted in Spanish

Maria Alzugaray - Academic English Language Development (AELD) in a Two-Way Setting K-2; Developing English Language at the Intermediate and Middle School Levels

Jody Wiencek- Using CCSS and Grouping Strategies to Develop Higher Levels of Oral Production for Dual Language Students (k-2) & (3-8th) 

Margaret Petkiewicz - Understanding the CCSS and What is Required for Students in Matemáticas!

As you know, in this era of Common Core implementation, it is important to work with TWBI/Dual Language experts to support powerful instruction in both languages.  ATDLE has brought you experts in the field and we know that you will have a great day working with them.

ATDLE stands firm in our commitment to you! We have planned a powerful day of learning for Two-Way & Dual Language Educators...join us! Bring a team to work with!  Network and meet some new members in the network of TWBI/DL programs in Oregon and Washington and study with these great experts! 

Please know that you must register online in order to generate a name tag.  Sorry, there will be no on-site registration. You must be in our system and may bring payment in the form of a district check, purchase order or pay by credit card. Remember: you must show a form of payment for admission! 

Your registration fee not only includes your admission but a continental breakfast and lunch!  You may want to bring water bottles to be more comfortable if you wish.  We also plan on inviting vendors whose products may be of importance to your work.
