Summer Reading Club 

Join with both military and civilian homeschoolers, across the Nation, as we share our love for learning and literacy. On-line reading log, share book reviews, lots of prizes, and club T-shirts.

The nuts and bolts of our summer reading club (or, how it all works)

We want you to read (or be read to) this summer. Why? Because it is fun!

HSAMF Summer Reading Club is for all homeschoolers from Pre K to 12th grade.  Once you have joined the club, you can start reading immediately.  Keep track of the books you finish reading in your reading log. Download extra reporting forms here.  You can keep track of minutes, pages, or books.  We will tally all the totals and report on our website so you can see the reading of homeschoolers everywhere!

HSAMF Members- easily have your child log his or her books on your secure member forum.

Non HSAMF Members-

Option 1, Join as a member!  Not only will you get access to saving your child's books online but you will also gain access to other member benefits.

Option 2, download the reading log and either e-mail to summerreadingclub@hsamf.org or snail mail  to our office.

                  * Registration opens May 29th.  You can join at any time.

                  * First day to report on your reading is June 20th.

                  * Last day to report is July 31st. Once the club is over, no awards can be earned.

                  * You can report online at anytime.

                  * You can read and report on any book, magazine, novel, & ebook (or listen to audio books).  

                    Be sure to read at your grade level (*children with disabilities may read at their ability level, please 

                    make a note of this on your child's registration form).

                  *Prizes will be mailed to you for every 10 books read. Grand prizes will be awarded to the top

                    finishers in each grade group. PreK-1st, 2-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-12.

When you report on your first 10 books you receive:

* A HSAMF lunch sack tote and a Certificate of Accomplishment

Other prizes include:

* Bookmarks, bracelets, stickers, goody bags, gift cards, T-shirts, books, magazines, etc.

Winners are contacted by telephone or e-mail, and information is posted on our Facebook page.

Special Family Prize!

Post a family pic, sporting this year's Club T-shirt, to our Facebook page.  Picture with the most likes by the end of the club will recieve a special prize for the whole family!
