Whether you run a business (or aspire to) selling products, providing services, manufacturing goods, or marketing yourself online, chances are that an understanding of Intellectual Property should play a part in your plans.

  • Keep others from taking advantage of your reputation.
  • Protect your ideas from being used without your permission.
  • Enter into agreements so you grow your business, and don't give it away.
  • Protect client lists, training materials, and other investments of your time from being misappropriated.
  • Minimize your chances of being accused of Infringement.
  • All of these situations deal with Intellectual Property. In fact, an estimated average of 80% of a company’s value is in Intellectual Property.

The Intellectual Property Workshop discussions will include:
What is Intellectual Property and why does the Law Protect it?
What is a Trademark?
What is a Copyright?
What is a Trade Secret and how do you Protect it?
What is a Patent and how/when should you apply for one?
What is Trade Dress?
What is a Non-Disclosure Agreement?
What do you need to consider when Licensing a Product or Intellectual Property?

The workshop will also provide time for questions and an open discussion.
