Join us for the 24th annual Utah Geographic Information Council conference at Snowbird, UT.  This year, the Utah Geographic Information Council (UGIC) and the Geospatial Conference of the West (GeCo West) are joining forces to bring you a single Western States Users Conference (formerly known as SWUG).  This will be the premier geospatial technology and information event of the year!

The combined conference is for every GIS practitioner in the Mountain West (UT, CO, WY, NM, AZ).  From seasoned GIS professionals to new and upcoming students, this conference will provide an opportunity to grow your GIS knowledge base and expand your networking reach. Geospatial experts will hold workshops and presentations that are guaranteed to elevate individual GIS cognition in our rapidly changing field. The event  is packed full of great presentations, workshops, vendors and opportunities to advance your GIS skills and learn from other GIS Professionals.

The event will be held at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, which is conveniently located a quick 30 minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah.  May is a BEAUTIFUL time to visit Snowbird, Utah! Area attractions include world class skiing, hiking, the upscale Cliff Spa, and mountain vistas.

Lodging is open now - We have secured rooms at the Lodge at Snowbird at the rate of $95.00 single, $105.00 double, $115.00 Triple, $125.00 quad plus tax for the conference. To reserve your rooms please contact the hotel directly:

Meals at the Conference:

Pre-Conference Training Meals: Lunch and breaks are included in the pre-conference training prices. Dinner is included for those attending the Tuesday evening ArcGIS Online Deep Dive session.

Conference Meals:  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday lunch, morning and afternoon breaks for Wed-Friday are included. In addition there will be a vendor social on Wednesday evening with appetizers and a sponsored dinner social on Thursday evening.

Getting to Snowbird Mountian Resort: 

To Snowbird from Salt Lake City International Airport
Take I-80 east to I-215 south. Take Exit 6 (6200 South) and go east on 6200 South, toward the mountains. This road will lead you straight to UT-210 and up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird.

To Snowbird from Downtown Salt Lake City
Go west on 500 South to I-15 and head south. Exit at I-215 heading east. Get off at Exit 6 (6200 South) and go east on 6200 South, toward the mountains. This road will lead you straight to UT-210 and up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird.

To Snowbird from Park City and Points East
Take UT-224 west and north to I-80. On I-80, head west toward the Salt Lake Valley. Take Exit 130 to I-215 south. Get off at Exit 6 (6200 South) and go east on 6200 South, toward the mountains. This road will lead you straight to UT-210 and up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird.

To Snowbird from Points South
Take I-15 north to Exit 295 (9000 South). Turn right onto 9000 South. This street becomes 9400 South, which takes you to the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Go right on UT-210. Six miles to Snowbird.

Airport Transportation:  Airport shuttles may be arranged while booking lodging through Snowbird Central Reservations (800-453-3000) or up to 48 hours prior to arrival. Current group round-trip pre-paid price is $72.00 per person. Walk-ups are accepted at a higher rate on a space available basis at the Canyon Transportation desk located in the baggage claim area of the Salt Lake City International Airport. Cancellations received within 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable. Driver gratuity not included and prices are subject to change.
