St. Paul's Episcopal Church
2015 Stewardship Campaign

Your written 2015 stewardship pledge enables St. Paul's to minister to the needs of all who come through our doors, pay clergy and staff, celebrate with worship and music, and engage the wider community through formation, education and service.

Dear St. Paul’s Parishioners,

I’m delighted to serve as your Chair of the Stewardship Ministry team at St. Paul’s.
On Sunday, October 12th, we will kick off our annual giving campaign: “Walking the Way.”

Over the course of the next six weeks, we will journey together in exploring how the practice of intentional giving deepens our walk with Christ and supports life-giving ministries to our community and beyond.  Day by day, week by week, people in and around St. Paul’s experience their life of faith in new and deeper ways through your commitment.  Your generosity generates mission and changes lives.

Here is our road map for the next six weeks of our Walking the Way Campaign:

The annual giving season will be introduced to us on Sunday, October 5th. Anita Sanborn, Executive Director of the Colorado Episcopal Foundation, will be speaking at all three services, and inbetween services in Bacon Hall. The official giving season kick-off event will be Sunday, October 12th, 10:05 – 10:55 a.m. in Bacon Hall.  If you are unable to make the kick-off event, where we will hand out the pledge cards, it will be mailed to you.  Or, simply click the Enter My Pledge button above and enter your pledge!

As leader of adult formation, Laurie Gudim will be guiding a discussion for several weeks about “walking the way.” The in-gathering celebration, where we celebrate and bless the commitment to and giving for St. Paul’s will be November 16.

•    Beginning on Sunday, October 12 and continuing through Sunday, November 16, you will find reflections written by Episcopal stewardship leaders across the country, covering stewardship and faithful giving in connection with the Gospel reading of the day in your worship bulletin.  We will use these reflections for prayer, study, and discussion during the Rector’s forum gathering.

•    Each Sunday, from October 12th through November 9th, we will hear stories of personal transformation through the practice of intentional giving from your fellow parishioners.

•    On Sunday, October 12th, you will receive your pledge packet.  Pray over what your pledge will be over the next six weeks.  Bring your pledge card to worship on Sunday, November 16th, or use the newly available online pledge option.

•    On November 16th, we will celebrate Commitment Sunday, the culmination of the journey, when pledges will be completed and offered as an act of worship.

Your Rector, vestry and stewardship ministry team have set a goal of receiving 100% of pledge commitments from our worshipping community.  We will be in intentional prayer that all will remain open to letting the Holy Spirit lead and guide us in a faithful response.

We will pray that your giving will come from a deep abiding sense of gratitude for the gift of this community and the gift we have in Jesus, the one who does not leave our side in our walk of faith.  My own walk is deepened when I give not from a perspective of “what is my fair share,” or even, “what can I afford”; rather, my faith comes alive when I give from a grace-filled and grateful heart.  Giving generously gives me strength and hope for the journey ahead.

Thank you for walking the Way in hope and faith. Blessings in your journey.

Yours in Christ,

Holly Carroll, Stewardship Chair
