Contracts for Entrepreneurs 

Learn how to collaborate effectively. This workshop will approach contracts from an entrepreneurial perspective. We will cover the fundamentals of contract law to help participants understand their rights and protect their interests when entering into an agreement. We will explore common pitfalls to avoid and smart contract clauses to include. This workshop will also include a detailed review of how to build a partnership agreement or operating agreement with your business partners. 

Participants will learn:

  • What makes an agreement binding
  • What provisions should be included in a contract
  • What constitutes a breach of a contract
  • Contract enforcement and remedies

 

PRESENTER:  Grant Atkinson, Managing Attorney at Framework Law Group PC

Grant is originally from Chicago Illinois and attended law school at Santa Clara University where he served as president of the Student Bar Association.
He has focused his law career on business, entertainment, and intellectual property matters,
and served as a lead litigation and transactions associate with a firm in Downtown Los Angeles
before launching Framework Law Group — a law firm dedicated to the entrepreneur and
creative community. He is also a musician, photographer, band manager, project developer,
and small-business owner.
