Looking to start a business or obtain additional financing for a current business? This workshop is for you since a business plan is essential for both. We will discuss topics which should be included in a Business Plan from the market to the financial analysis and we will explore the content of and explain the reasons for examining each subject.
In addition to the presentation material, additional worksheets and supplemental data on select subjects will be included in the attendees packets.
Specific Topics that will be addressed include:
Speaker: Denny Weimer has over 33 years of experience in a global marketplace and a capital goods industry. His management assignments have included stints in International Sales, Product Marketing, Parts & Service, as well as Manufacturing. He was President of the Dresser-Rand Energy Systems Division, a $200 MM business segment which designed and manufactured steam turbines, motors and generators in three countries. In this capacity, he led two successful acquisition projects, one of which resulted in a three-company transaction merging into a joint venture business. He has written articles for and spoken at conferences for a variety of organizations including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, APICS, the Educational Society for Resource Management, and the Graduate School at Clarkson University. Dennis has an AAS, Engineering Science from Alfred State College and a BS, Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University Executive Development, University of Houston and he mentors SCORE clients in the areas of business finance and accounting, operations, strategy and planning and sales, marketing and public relations.

The workshop is open to all Hodges students, faculty, and staff. All students in Fort Myers and Lee and Hendry counties with a school ID and Veterans may attend free. When registering students should simply enter the discount code STUDENT and Veterans should enter the discount code VETERAN. A valid ID may be required at the door.
