Assessment & Treatment of Dizziness, Vertigo & Dysequilibrium in Older Adults

You are invited to attend a 2.4 CEU course for continuing education for physical therapists with Dr. Kimberley Bell PT. 

The course will run from Friday 2/20/15 through Sunday 2/22/15 from 9am-6pm, with three hours of self-study that must be completed prior to attending the live course. All course graduates will benefit from Dr. Bell's clinical support via brief, occasional email, text message and phone communication within the first month after course completion. 

Additional clinical support for course graduates is available on an ongoing basis through phone consultations and study groups, with sliding scale pricing based on group size.

Course graduates have an exclusive option to earn 2.4 additional CEU's with individual mentoring or study groups through the CEU accredited "Clinical Mentorship in Vestibular Rehabilitation."

Course content includes a synthesis of:

  • Vestibular rehabilitation basics (appropriate for beginners)
  • Impact of geriatric syndromes on dizziness
  • Fall prevention best practices from a public health perspective
  • New treatment ideas for incontinence, neuropathy, posture, balance and fear of falling
  • Dr. Bell's personal experience living with vertigo, seeking out best practices for symptom management to improve her quality of life
  • Dr. Bell's professional experience: 12 years as a licensed physical therapist, 10 years in home health geriatrics, 7 years as a Vestibular Specialist, Vestibular CEU instructor & professional mentor, 5 years as a Yoga teacher, one year as a Laughing Meditation teacher
  • Dr. Bell's rich clinical expertise developed through treating and/or consulting on over 1,500 cases of older adults with dizziness, vertigo, imbalance or unexplained repeated falls
  • Fun, active learning experiences to help with retention of key clinical concepts
