The Basic Mediation Training consists of two modules March 5,6, 7 & March 19,20,21 2015. Module one instructs participants in vital communication and conflict resolution skills. The structure is a mixture of lecture, group discussion, and role play. Module two takes trainees though each step of the mediation process. Participants practice their new skills by role playing three times as a mediator and one time as a disputant with outside role players.
Hours are as follows: Thursdays 3/5 & 3/19: 1:00-5:30p.m. Fridays 3/6 & 3/20: 8:30-5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 3/7 and 3/21: 8:30-5:00p.m.
The cost is $450 per module. The early registration fee (by 2/1/15) is $425 per module. Friday and Saturday lunches are included along with drinks, snacks and program materials. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions/allergies. Both modules are recommended and Module 1 is a pre-requisite for Module 2, but Module 2 is not required.
If you are able to only attend the first module, you may do so and take the second module at our next basic mediation training.
