Open House Celebration!

Please join us for an Open House Celebration & Ribbon Cutting at Harborlight House in Beverly on Tuesday, December 6th from 3-6 PM.  Ribbon cutting and remarks scheduled for 3:30. (Please note this event date has been changed from 12/1 to 12/6.)

The $8M+ project was made possible with multiple funding sources including the City of Beverly, Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity, and a $3M award from the MA Department of Housing and Community Development. After 15 months of major renovation work, HCP is ready to celebrate this flagship property with our funders and financial partners, construction partners, the City, and our neighbors, and our residents!

The celebration will include remarks, tours to showcase renovation work, and refreshments.

Harborlight House Renovation Project:

• Preserved 30 Units of Affordable Supportive Housing for frail low-income seniors 
• 30 project-based MRVPs (MA Rental Voucher Program) to ensure the affordability of each unit
• Improved Facility with Extensive Upgrades inside and out:
  • expansion and improvements of resident units for better accessiblity
  • installation of new small kitchenettes and new bathrooms
  • dining room remodel and expansion and installation of new 2nd floor kitchen
  • improved communication systems to enhance safety and security and new wireless system 
  • refurbrished elevator
  • new flooring and carpeting throughout and new furnishings in all common areas
  • new high efficiency AC/heating system
  • new roof, new exterior building wrap, insulation and recycled siding material
  • refinished all detailed exterior woodwork
  • installation of new outdoor patio area, landscape design and plantings
