Richmond Cider Celebration 

In partnership with with the Virginia Cider Association, Cider Celebration 2017 coincides with the statewide celebration of Virginia’s cider industry, Cider Week VA, and Enrichmond is thrilled to be presenting the event! Tenc ideries will be present for the festival including Albemarle CiderWorks, Big Fish Cider Co., Blue Bee Cider, Bold Rock Cider, Buskey Cider, Castle Hill Cider, Courthouse Creek Cidery, Coyote Hole CiderWorks, Foggy Ridge Cider, and Old Hill Cider. 

Live music by Exebelle and delicious artisanal foods will compliment your cider experience.

Cider Tasting Workshop

1:00pm-1:45pm 

Are you a first-time cider taster, or just want a bit more education on tasting/sensory perception?  Have you ever struggled to come up with the right word to describe the cider in your glass?  If so, this workshop is for you!  This class will focus on a five point analysis — appearance, aroma, taste, mouth feel, and finish. You will taste  delicious, local ciders from Albermarle Ciderworks, Foggy Ridge, and Buskey while using simple steps for observing, experiencing and describing your cider.

Cost: $3

Cider & Food Paring Workshop

2:00pm-2:45pm

Join Cidermaker, Eric Cioffi, as he shares exquisite food from The Savory Grain with cider pairings from Blue Bee, Buskey, Castle Hill, and Courthouse Creek.  Workshop includes a raw oyster on the half shell with an apple cider mignonette, as well as, three cheeses with house made apple butter and pickled pumpkin.

Q&A Workshop 

3:00pm-4:00pm

Let’s wrap up Cider Celebration with an informal and educational question and answer session with your Virginia Cideries!  All are welcome to this free workshop, bring your love for cider, curiosity, and questions!  Some of the presenters include: Diane Flint from Foggy Ridge, Stuart Madany from Castle Hill, Anne Shelton from Albermarle Ciderworks, Will Correll from Buskey, and Eric Cioffi from Courthouse Creek Cider.

NEW Location and Parking:

Cider Celebration 2017 will operate at a temporary location at 1615 East Broad Street, one block from 17th Street Market. Ample free on-street and paid parking is available in adjacent parking lots on 17th and Grace Streets. Free bicycle parking will be provided right next to the festival.

Other info:

Your ticket purchase includes a Virginia Cider tote bag, one cider glass, and 10 tickets redeemable for tastings and full pours. Extra tickets will be available for purchase on-site.

Feel free to bring lawn chairs – we’ll have live music and tents to kick back under, as well as a Chair Check service. Your four-legged friends are welcome – must be socialized and leashed.
