This year we looked at two topics in particular which have strong relevance to the interests of senior management of tanker companies.

We will look at maintaining staff passion about shipping, and ways to get better at seeing staff as an asset rather than a cost - as a pathway to continuing the improvement in safety. 

We'll look at how to make sure new technology is adopted sensibly, so companies can make more with it, but without it overcomplicating operations.

We will look in more depth at making better choices about rope, cybersecurity, and the business benefits of investing in improved shipboard catering.
