Pints for a Cause & Book Drive Kick-Off!
In 2017, Emerging Leaders raised 1,500 books by companies hosting book drives in their workplaces. Last year we raised over 3,000! We are excited to surpass that amount this year. Join us on March 21st for our Book Drive Kick-off at Ninkasi while they host us for Pints for a Cause ($1/pint will go toward our book drive goal).
We will distribute materials that you can take back to your workplace to run a successful book drive and you'll meet our Book Drive Coordinator who will support you on your journey. Come enjoy a beverage and get ready for a creative volunteer opportunity!
These books go toward United Way of Lane County’s BookFest - a fun, free book distribution event at schools with the lowest reading proficiency rates in the County. Students K-2nd grades get to choose up to six books to take how to prevent summer learning loss.

What is Emerging Leaders?
Emerging Leaders is a program for young professionals 40 years of age and younger who want to develop as the next generation of community leaders and philanthropists. As a group, we participate in volunteer activities, educational forums, professional development, social events and other activities.
Anyone 40 or under can attend up to two monthly programs to see if they'd like to become a member.
