On the Horizon:

Anticipating Regulatory Change

Regulatory changes - driven in part by advancements in technology and laboratory methods, including lower detection limits - are on the horizon for wastewater dischargers. Toxicologists are encouraging the industry to set lower compliance levels for Constituents of Emerging Concern (CECs) and other contaminants. The concern lies with the potential harm these chemicals impose on our waterways and marine ecosystems. But what will these regulatory changes mean for dischargers?

Join us as industry experts Paul Monroy and Dr. Nathan Dodder discuss laboratory methods, technological advancements, contaminant prioritization, and monitoring strategies.

Featured Presenters:

Paul Monroy
Laboratory Director of Operations

Babcock Laboratories, Inc.
"CECs, Cyanide, and Nutrient Limits: Technological Advances and Laboratory Methods"

Nathan Dodder, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
Southern California Coastal Water Research Project
"Monitoring Strategies for Contaminants in Marine Ecosystems"
